HND in Farm Machinery Technology (NVQ 6)

Motto
Power the Future of Agriculture: Master the Technology, Mechanics, and Business of Modern Farm Machinery.
Introduction
The Higher National Diploma in Farm Machinery Technology is a specialized, industry-driven program accredited by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC), leading to qualifications at both NVQ Level 5 and NVQ Level 6. This hands-on, competency-based curriculum equips students with the advanced technical knowledge and practical skills required to service, maintain, manage, and support the agricultural machinery that drives modern farming. From diagnosing complex faults in engine, hydraulic, and electrical systems to designing appropriate machinery and managing a workshop business, our students are trained to become experts in this critical field. With a strong emphasis on practical workshops, CAD design, and industry-relevant projects, graduates are prepared to become indispensable professionals in the Agri-tech sector. Diploma holders are also well-positioned to pursue further studies towards a Bachelor’s degree at the University of vocational technology or at UGC-recognized private institutes and campuses.
Program Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the Higher National Diploma in Farm Machinery Technology, graduates will be able to:
Diagnose and rectify faults in mechanical, diesel fuel, hydraulic, and electrical systems of modern farm machinery.
